Ukraine - Superthread

I had a shoebox full of those decks when 4CER went into closeout sale mode and they were going to burn them. I have no idea where any of them are now. Too bad, I'd love to still have a few so I can identify the antiques Russia will soon be plugging the holes in the line with.
I saw a bunch of PT-76 on a train. It’s getting soon to a point we’re going to need WW2 vets to come to vehicle recognition. They are working quickly on blowing past the 60-70’s era vehicles.

Is there a 'new' version of such a basic ID slide deck I could use with my troops? We did a review of Carl G and M72 with them last week...might be nice to help them figure out what to shoot at?

Used a few of them here.

With respect to the M113 and its derivatives. How easy are they to maintain given their age? They are 60 yrs old or something are they not? If they are not suffering from a lifetime of stress than it would seem to make sense to keep them and or donate them to Ukraine.

Production of the M113 ended in 2007, so it's no guarantee they're getting the oldest models.

"You see that flotilla on the other side of the Dardenelles? You want it to stay there, trust me."

I don't want to be in the flotilla that try's to transit the Dardanelles, Sea of Marmara and Bosporus opposed.

I've done that transit multiple times, and it would be an easy thing to defend.

Incidentally I visited Gallipoli. Its pretty easy to see how bad an idea that was from the Turk positions. It wouldn't take a military whiz to beat an invader there.

Using is easy, maintaining takes a little more time. Hence a week ;)
Makes you wonder if we should go back and build new ones, sort of a high low AFV concept. High end LAVs, plus cheap and easy m113s

The AMPV is supposed to be a modern M113, using the same hull as the Bradley for commonality.
