C7 C8 Question
« on: February 02, 2010, 09:43:10 »
Does our Supply system have any type of "Drill Rifles" or the blue/red training ones? If so, how is a good way to get one? And what would the NSN be?

Those "rubber rifles" (as they are colloquially known) were specifically designed for bayonet training.  That's why the barrels were metal, complete with bayonet lugs.

How they are/were used is one thing.  The only thing is that the bayonet training was their intended purpose.  I mean, they have also been used by instructors on various courses during ruck marches, etc for the same reason as listed above: they didn't require the same level of security and were therefore more easily stored and available.

Ah huh... so is there a NSN for them? Or something along those lines. I'm trying to see if I can get them in the supply system somehow.
