Living Arrangments and Family at Memorial University
« on: September 01, 2010, 20:18:50 »
I currently have an application in for Naval Electronics Tech and spoke to the CFRC today in regards to it. Currently the only option available is NCM SEP at MUN. I am currently considering this option and was wondering if anyone has experience with the Living arrangements for MUN.

The recruiter was only able to give me vague details in regards to cost, meal plans, and if a Family is able to relocate with me for the duration of my schooling there. If anyone has any information on any of this I would greatly appreciate it.

I am hoping to undergo the same thing myself.  I have a conditional acceptance to the program at Marine, they are still waiting for my high school transcript, which they should have received 4 weeks ago (don't get me started.. a bit of a screw up @ CFRC had them open the transcripts they were supposed to forward with my application).

I am very interested in hearing how this all works myself, as we are both hoping to relocate to St. John's as it is a two year program... I also, however, have a dog.  I'm thinking it's going to have to be off campus for me.  St. John's has, apparently, a 1% vacancy rate about now.  Everything is a basement apartment, and because of the high demand, apparently not all the places are that nice.  I'm a little worried about the whole thing, but it will work out one way or another, I am sure.
