Online Childhood Cancer support petition.
« on: December 14, 2010, 14:42:27 »
Dear Army.ca members

I have a favour to ask for my wife's charity (Childcan; http://www.childcan.on.ca/), which is devoted to supporting the families of children with cancer. A cancer survivor in the group, Stephanie Simmons, age 14, is circulating a petition for Canada Post to create a commemorative postage stamp, and has a site about the project here: http://www.goldribboncampaign.org/.

As Stephanie is a child in school and the family (and charity) have limited means, I would like to ask  members of Army.ca tosign the on line petition, and support this cause. With your help, we can help Stephanie reach her goal, and also raise awareness of the plight of children with cancer, and their families. Something like 10,000 cases of cancer in children are diagnosed every year, so the more attention that can be drawn to this problem, the more resources that can be devoted for prevention and cure.

Thank you for your help and support in this matter, and thank you Mike for helping spread the message.
Dagny, this is not a battle over material goods. It's a moral crisis, the greatest the world has ever faced and the last. Our age is the climax of centuries of evil. We must put an end to it, once and for all, or perish - we, the men of the mind. It was our own guilt. We produced the wealth of the world - but we let our enemies write its moral code.
