Army Alphabet

Hey, I am just wondering if anyone would like to write out the Army Alphabet for me.  I am in basic right now and they urge us to know it, and i cant find it anywheres.  I know Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta (who doesnt)... but could anyone help me out.  Thanks.  :cam:      :crybaby:

Irene was the go-code Task Force Ranger used on Oct 3, 1993. You know, Blackhawk Down?

That‘s probably what he‘s thinking of because AFAIK India has been used since at least Vietnam.

Midway through WW II we used the American phonetic alphabet that went

Baker
Charlie
Dog
Easy
Fox
George
How
Item
Jig
Kate
Love
Mike
Nan
Oboe
Peter
Queen
Roger
Sugar
Tare
Uncle
Victor
William
X-Ray
Yoke
Zebra

We switched sometime in the 1960s to the current NATO standard.  So no Irene there.

Before the move to the US one, we had

Ack
Beer
Cork
Don

etc., or in other words, the British phonetic alphabet.  Not sure why the switch; guys in the various "D" Companies were reportedly pissed at being referred to as "dog" though...

I thought "Y" was Yukon?
And "I" was Indian, although its close enough to "India" that it does not really matter.
